Decorating Your Front Door for Halloween

It’s that time of year again!  Pumpkin spice lattes are back at our favorite coffee joints, fall scented candles fill our homes with the delightful smells of cinnamon and apples, and our children start counting down the days until they can don superhero and princess costumes, proudly walk their neighborhood, and fill up empty bags with candy.

But here in the South, Halloween isn’t just about trick or treating.  Neighborhoods, churches, and schools use this spooky holiday to come together and celebrate family, friends and fun.  It is not uncommon to drive through neighborhoods on Halloween night and see families sitting outside on lawn chairs, chatting and laughing with their neighbors and friends, while children play pretend superhero and fairy tale games nearby.

Considering this dynamic, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see entire communities with front doors elaborately decorated for the holiday, each door displaying an exciting Halloween theme.  The only thing better than a gorgeous front door, is a gorgeous front door dressed up for a holiday.  In celebration of the season, we thought it would be fun to put together a list of some of our favorite Halloween decorated entryways.

These homeowners dressed up their six lite single entry wood door with elaborate ornaments and decorations.  We think it has a bit of a Mardi Gras feel to it.
